"Partners in Crime"
Wanted to say something about the Torchwood finale, but... *sniff*... it's going to have to wait a few.

Instead, I'll go with the new Doctor Who.

It was decent fun, kinda weightless, but fun. Happy to have Donna back for more Tardis-trips, because I enjoy her mix of exasperation and enthusiasm. And she's prepared! For any weather! Or no weather. And I loved the window pantomime she did with Ten.

The Grandad parts were kinda endearing, especially the closing one. I'm sappy like that.

Villains could have been a little cheesier, looks-wise. I want full-bore cheesy! Not just lamely CGId breakfast cereal. I <3 the bubblewrap monsters, so I would appreciate more low tech SFX, Who. Remember the autons? That's the stuff!

Can't say I dug the underlying fat joke that was threaded through the plot. Somebody needs to deal with their issues in a way that doesn't involve scriptwriting.

Nice nod to Martha. It was great to have "She did you good" textually acknowledged. And Ten's I screwed up admission. I was spoiled for the big [SPOILER] at the end, and have no idea where they're going with it. But the new spoilers are amusing. Speculate wildly, internets! Always a good time.

More of a filler ep, weak for an opener and not one I'm dying to watch again or anything. But it had some fun moments.

And Ten & Donna make an entertaining team. Looking forward to their trip to Rome.

Pure fluff, but thoroughly entertaining. I missed Martha (yes, she was brilliant!), but I think Donna will be good fun, snarking at the Doctor and smacking him when he needs it. That pantomime through the window was priceless, and how awesome that she had a hat box! I hope there's an episode where she has to wear an enormous hat. :D

I like the Donna&Ten energy already! She has a slight Tegan vibe to her - ♥!. Hopefully, she stays sharpish and we don't have a revisit to the unrequited lurve crap. More adventures and less pining, already. Rome looks promising - Volcanos and stuff!

Bet Romana left some hats behind. Donna would totally rock an enormous hat!
